This is the portal of the Charlotte Chapter of the National InfraGard
Program. InfraGard's main mission is to support industries that
are part of our National
Critical Infrastructures, which were outlined in Presidential Decision Directive 63 - Protecting the
Nation's Critical Infrastructures.
Presidential Decision
Directives (PDD) 63 focuses specifically on protecting the Nation's
critical infrastructures from both physical and "cyber" attack.
These attacks may come from foreign governments, foreign and domestic
terrorist organizations, and foreign and domestic criminal organizations.
The InfraGard
Program was conceived from PDD-63. InfraGard is a cooperative
undertaking between the Federal Bureau of Investigation and
an association of businesses, academic institutions, state and local
law enforcement agencies, and other participants that is dedicated
to increasing the security of the critical infrastructures of the
United States of America. All InfraGard participants are committed
to the proposition that a robust exchange of information about
threats to and actual attacks on these infrastructures is an essential
element to successful infrastructure protection efforts. The
goal of InfraGard is to enable that information flow so that owners
and operators of infrastructure systems can better protect
themselves and so that the United States government can better discharge
its law enforcement and national security responsibilities.
With your support
we can strengthen these infrastructures from potential attacks,
but our mission requires constant proactive measures that sometimes
seems unnecessary until your infrastructure is either compromised
or destroyed. |
