Charlotte Chapter Members:  Our next scheduled meeting is set for Wednesday, July 21st from 1-4 p.m. at Microsoft.  Please mark your calenders and register you and your guests online at www.ncinfragard.org.  The address and directions to the location are also at that site.  This is an open meeting that I know you will enjoy.

I will be bringing member cards for those who have not received theirs yet as well as some new member packets that I have received.  I am looking forward to seeing you there and hearing the two presentations that the board has arranged for you.
 
Our presenters and their topics are as follows:
 
Majid Hassan
President
C.A.P.I.T
 
Presentation Topic:  "RADICAL ISLAM"; How it is spreading, recruitment methods, use of technology, fianancing methods and it's relationship to the United States.
Majid Hassan is the president of C.A.P.I.T, and currently employed with AOC. He has and continues to present counter terrorism seminars for local and national law enforcement agencies. Majid also coordinates courses on financial terrorism with a focus on countering radical Islam. Majid has worked with government agencies for many years in the area of counter terrorism and counter intelligence.
Majid has over twenty five years of experience in the security industry dedicated to the areas of counter terrorism; counter intelligence; and computer forensics. He teaches computer forensics at the American Academy of Applied Forensics and also serves on the board of advisors for the academy. He has provided presentations for the United States Secret Service; High Technology Crime Investigation Association (HTCIA); International Association of Financial Crimes Investigators; and presented terrorism updates to various police departments across the state of North Carolina. He has been the president of the High Technology Crime Investigation Association (Carolinas chapter). He holds a degree in Electronic Communications Engineering, is a certified forensics and steganography examiner.
Memberships: International Association of Financial Crimes Investigators, American Society for Industrial Security, National Association of Chiefs of Police, FBI Infraguard, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners; and the High Technology Crime Investigation Association (HTCIA).
Majid's presentations are always informative and eye opening! 
 
Warner M. Watkins, Jr., CISSP

Presentation Topic:   Coca-Cola: The 13th, and to many, most important, Critical Infrastructure.  Warner will discuss how Coca Cola interacts with a number of the other critical infrastructures in ways that might not be readily apparent. 
 
Warner is responsible for the Information Security Program at Coke Consolidated, including mainframe and Client Server security, IDS and Proxy administration and security policy development.  Prior to joining Coke Consolidated in 1994, Mr. Watkins worked as a programmer, IS Auditor and Security Administrator for several banks in Virginia and North Carolina.  He is a member of the Computer Security Institute and the Charlotte Chapter of Infragard, and a Past President of the Charlotte Chapter of ISACA.  He is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional.  Warner is a 1973 graduate of the University of Virginia with a BA in Psychology.  He also earned a Certificate in Banking and Finance from the University of Richmond.
Warner's presentation promises to be very informative and entertaining!
